[AC Question]

How do i skip the RIDICULOUS "swipe screen"/"notification screen" and go straight to home screen desktop after pressing the power button.

My phone remains unlocked (when connected to my watch) so I dont need to unlock it but I cant get my phone to go straight to the homescreen. It is really frustrating

I just want to go straight to my icons when I press the power button. I dont want to have to swipe away a screen, which requires a fairly long swipe or it doesnt swipe away properly which is frustrating in itself.

I know i can hold the fingerprint reader down and hold my finger on there which shows the damn screen and then skips to home screen, but why cant I just have an option not to have that stupid screen.

Samsung says there is no way to skip it.

Can someone tell me if rooting the phone then will allow the option?

I'd really like to know this as well!
Surely there is a way. The no lock app doesn't work.
If the fingerprint sensor worked better it would be ok but it half the time take a few seconds
