Apps with maps, like Uber, no longer show any details (like streets) on the map, how do I fix this?

In an effort to fix this I have uninstalled and reinstalled the apps. I have a Samsung Galaxy 7 running Android version 7. Google Maps is functioning correctly.

Welcome to the forum. Even though you have reinstalled the apps, go to Settings, Apps, All and find each app. Do a Force Close, then clear cache and clear data for each app. See if that helps. Uninstalling an app does not usually delete all its data.
