turn off text-to-speech when settings are locked?

A

AC Question

Ok, I was trying to get an audible book to read the book to me. Totally seemed to screw up my tablet. I can't get it to work now. I went into settings, accessibility and turned on the google text-to-speech.
Right after doing that, it put me through this really long tutorial showing me how to use the tablet. I have to use two fingers swipping down to do whatever. (Be honest, I skimmed through it.) Now I can't get anything to launch without double clicking it. The screen won't register a single tap.

So, I need to get this to turn off. Problem is I have my settings locked with a screen pattern. I can't get into settings to disable it because when it asks me for the pattern, I can't enter it. I've tried holding down the power button and then after the power off and restart options display, holding down two fingers in a blank area which I thought I read would turn off this annoying feature. But that didn't work.
