Internet service doesn't work outside of the house

Since, I purchased this phone (motogo 1609, Verizon pay as you go) I have not been able to get wifi while I'm outside. I've tried everything I can think of. Now I'm told my plan is no longer bring offered. Help! Thanks.

Welcome to Android Central! Sorry, which phone is that? Is it a Moto G4 Play, or a basic featurephone? And do you mean you can't get mobile data (3G/4G)? Wi-fi doesn't have anything to do with your wireless plan.
