On my Android (Motorola) phone, there ostensibly exists no less than three "Googles." On my home screen is a Google search bar. When I swipe right, I get a different Google screen. In my Google apps group, I have a Google app (a giant "G" icon) which presents yet a different face of Google. Why are there three and how do they differ?

Welcome to the forum. They're basically parts of the same whole. The search bar is a widget and just a quick way to enter a basic search. Once you get those results, you're in Google, the app (giant G), which has many parts and sub-apps; Hangouts, etc. Hope that helps clarify
