Recently updated the software on my s6 to android 7. It's totally killed my battery. Nothing else has changed. Been through every setting. Rebooted. Switched off everything I can. Even the IT chap at my work, who is morning short of a genius, can't find anything wrong. So why even on power save mode is my phone turning off by 2 in the afternoon even without me barely touching it?!?

Welcome to the forum. Have you done a factory reset or cleared system cache after the upgrade? Sometimes legacy data and other information gets muddled up during the upgrade. Resets help to correct that, as you should be getting better battery life.
