    Trying to switch from a Samsung 5S to an iPhone and need to know if I will have to buy a new sims card or if the one from the Samsung will work??

    No. The S5 uses a MicroSIM, the 5S uses a NanoSIM. Nano is smaller, and the Micro can be cut down but you have to be VERY careful with how you do it. Usually, carriers are willing to give you a new SIM to support a new device if one is needed.

    some stores have this tool and will do it for you.
    but I recommend to replace it completely to work without problems.

    Also, a cut-down card may be too thick, so may require sanding down. Then I suppose you'd have to write the sanded-off numbers back on yourself, should they ever be needed.
