My Samsung is stuck in the Phone Temperature software and won't stop cycling

Hi, my Samsung is stuck on the phone temperature app, endlessly buffering and won't stop. You can call the phone but you can't answer it. It's a Galaxy S6 and I dont' see how you can even pull the battery out. It won't respond to trying to try if off and on or just off. Phone temperture just goes round and round and ^^%$ing round

Welcome to Android Central! Try forcing a shutdown by pressing and holding Power and Vol Down for about 15 seconds. Then boot into Recovery and wipe the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-21095
