AC Question

Hi everyone (first post)

I have troubleshooting with my Google Pixel, uploading pictures from Google photos to Google drive which are photos that I actually don't want.
Currently says it's uploading 1208 files to the drive, is there any method to stop it from happening and also how to the delete it from Google drive?!??

Welcome to Android Central! If you don't want to see your photos in Drive, then open Google Drive on your computer browser, go to its settings, and look for the Create a Google Photos Folder option --turn that off. Remember, though, that since you're a Pixel owner, you get unlimited storage of photos, even at Original Quality (non-Pixel owners only get unlimited storage of High Quality photos). Your photo storage does not affect your Google Drive capacity -- it's simply a convenient way to access them.

If you want to turn off auto-backup, open the Google Photos app on your phone, go to Settings>Backup, and turn it off. But I wouldn't, since you have unlimited cloud storage.

I have a nexus 6 running Oreo 8.1.0 and turned on my photo sync to drive, and cannot turn it off. There is no "settings" option in the menu.

Welcome to Android Central! Open the Google Drive app, tap the Menu button (the 3 horizontal lines at the upper left), then Settings, and then turn off the Auto Add toggle switch.
