Sorry if this is in the wrong section, so many sub forums and Im new.

Does the Le 2 hold up ok with SD 652 vs the SD820 in the Max 2 and its 1440p screen?

In my country importing them equates to $180 vs $340.

Very basic user, some texts, some emails, maybe a google or 2 and at most candy crush gaming.

The one bonus of the le2 which sounds like a benefit on the Lemax 2, is that the tiny 3050mah battery should in theory last longer on a slower processor and GPU and slightly smaller screen with 1440p on the lemax 2?

Does the SD652 still hold up for a basic light user?

Warm welcome to AndroidCentral @CellyPhoner 😃

The SD652 definitely has enough power to meet your needs. No need to worry there. You will be crushing candies in no time.

The SD820 will definitely be better for gaming but if you not a big gamer, then the 652 will be fine for everyday tasks and some occasional games.

Battery life should also be fairly good with a 1080p screen. Many Flagship devices today have a 1440p screen with a 3,000mAh battery.

Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks very much for that. So unless Im a gamer the difference is minimal for other uses?

I saw the 6GB of ram, 530 adreno, 1440p and thought wow. But now i think of it Im a much more basic user than that who doesnt game.

Its $125 US for the Le 2, are there any other basic phones I should consider with 3GB ram+ for that price?

You might notice around 1 - 2 seconds difference between the 652 & 820 for basic apps but to me, that's not a train smash. Especially when we talking $150 vs $300+ I'm sure you find the performance is great. 😃

I'm unfortunately not that familiar with budget smartphones and don't want to steer you wrong. So I can't give any recommendations on that. 😃

The only one I've heard good reviews about is the "Moto G5 Plus". But that's over $200

    Hope like you Le 2!

I think for the money I cant go wrong, my options locally retail are like the Meizu m5 which has a weaker CPU and GPU and costs $290 retail here. So for $180 I dont feel I can really go wrong as the phone itself seems to be liked by all whether its the le 2 or lemax 2.

Im trying out this form factor for the first time, my go to phone is a nokia 4" as I like the portability. But the lack of apps and the typing speed due to tiny keyboard and very fat thumbs is doing my head in. Ive had a galaxy 5" and iphone S before. Whilst I think Windows 10 is the superior OS, until they get their .... together with the Lumia line and getting third party apps on board Ive given up on windows aside from keeping the small nokia as my jeans pocket phone.
