Why my photos disappeared on Huawei ?

[AC Question]

My phone is Huawei mate 8
I bought it almost one year ago
3 months ago, photos that I received on whatsapp just disappeared
Then I movd some photos from albums to another albums and they disappeared like the first ones
I found them when I opened photos from my internal storage not the gallery
So I restarted my phone and then they all disappeared
What shall I do ?
Please Help I need this photos
Ps.I don't have SD card just my internal storage

Welcome to Android Central! Using a file manager app (or use Windows Explorer after connecting the phone to your computer via USB), search for the actual photo files -- are they still present on the phone? If so, which directories are they located in? Look for a file called ".nomedia" in those directories -- that file instructs the system to ignore the directory when scanning for images to add to the gallery database.
