Loading message after I edit files.

I use a Huawei P8 Lite, and whenever I edit, delete, or move files in the Files app, it comes up with a Loading message and never loads anything, so I have to quit and reopen the app if I want to do anything else. Is there any possible way to fix this? It's happened since I got the phone about a year ago.

Welcome to Android Central! I assume the Files app is the stock file manager, correct? Try going to Settings>Apps, select the Files app, and Clear Cache. You might have to tap Menu>Show System first, in order to see the Files app.

A workaround would be to install a good 3rd party file manager app like Total Commander.
