Why my external storage doesn't show up

[AC Question]

I already insert my sd card but my phone just keep showing the internal storage. What can I do? My sd card was in good condition. But before this happen,my phone said that my sd card was inject. It happen when I select the 'SD CARD' in settings > storage ( while I don't know what will happen when I select that) so how can I found my SD Card storage or external storage in my phone? I've done refreshing my phone by turn it off. But still,nothing change when I turned it on. How to fix my problems?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Does it read other SD cards? Do other devices read that SD card without problem?
