Why did my phone suddenly use 1GB of mobile data?

I have changed data cycle and made today starting date. In data uses it says "Removed Apps" has used 1GB data, all in the background. But I didn’t uninstall any app today. Is it possible that this is some virus that installed itself after doing damage. What should I do now?

Welcome to Android Central! Have you uninstalled an apps in the past week or so? Do all other apps in the Data Usage list show very little usage so far?
