Automatic Call Recorder export from Galaxy5 to Galaxy8 WITH recordings?

Hi all,

I am trying to get my recordings from my automatic call recorder( from APPLIQATO)
on my Samsung Galaxy S5 over to my new phone Galaxy S8.

I used the samsung smart switch soft and got all images videos sounds contacts etc etc over including my apps but when going into the call recorder i see no listing of all my calls recorded from my S5.

I connected to my computer and navigated to the Callrecordings folder and copied it over manually and rebooted the phone but they still does not show.

I tried both copy the S5 callrecordings folder to both phone and card but it still does not show in the list of the S8 app. I checked both versions of the app are the same recent so its not the app but it seems to just work from scratch not with the history files listed :(

Anybody have a suggestion how to get the app to list the recordings either by uninstall and reinstall it using a different soft that will bring both app+data over and not just the app.

Hope there is someone who knows either how to get the app to pick the recorded files up or how to reinstall or import them or something....i have 3 years recordings so its pretty important i get them INTO the app on the new phone if anyone have a solution i would really appreciate it :)

Welcome to the forums. Have you contacted the APPLIQATO tech support? I would think there would be a way to sync or refresh the app so it would find the recordings. Also, even though you copied that folder, the path to it now is most likely different, why the phone can't find it. Can you point the recording app to a new storage location via it's settings?

Hi and thank you for the reply :) I did not contact the developer as i dont see a support option on their site. I did make sure the path was correct and i also made a test call to see where it stored the new recording on S8 and tried copy another date in there with recordings but it did not catch it so somehow it does not refresh the files with the app but only list what is recorded from now and onwards. I can decide where the path should be and tried change it to both the old callrecordings folder and a new folder with a new call and tried copy the old recordings over to that folder to no avail :( Any ideas how this can be fixed or refreshed or something i would be really happy ?
 
Welcome as a new member! Great response, lots of detail and you did everything I would have tried. Setting the new path and not having the app find older recordings doesn't say much for the app programming to me. I'm fresh out of ideas at this point. I would have to assume the app keeps some kind of log of recordings and will ignore anything not in that log. I think you need to do whatever you can to contact their tech support. Sorry, nothing else :(
