I let t-mobile do my update overnight and now my my phone, contacts and messages app icons changed to the little green android guy and don't work. I read that if i remove them from my home screen, reboot my phone then they would come back as normal. That didn't work. I can't even call t-mobile because I can't usr my phone app.

Welcome to the forums. Have you looked for those apps in your app drawer? Does the phone appear to be working normally other than you can't find the icons? Knowing which phone and OS version you have would be helpful. If you can't find the icons in the app drawer, and the phone appears to be normal otherwise, try clearing your system cache. You can find the instructions for doing that online thru a Google search, or join the forum and post back to this thread. See link below.

I'm having a similar issue. Carried out the new update and now my apps stop working. Can't even read an email or play on a game.
I've clear cache partition like suggested and that hasn't worked.
    Any ideas?
