Coming to Android and missing the iOS integration of Continuity on Android. Basically I like being able to have my Text messages land on my Mac Desktop automatically and then reply using my Keyboard.

Is there something in Google-land that provides this functionality?

Welcome to the forums. Sorry, no. Text messages are a function of mobile, there are no SMS programs I'm aware of for desktops. That's why we have email There are similar apps, Hangouts being one, that work on both platforms.

If you don't mind changing carriers (and being stuck on a very specific set of phones), you could switch to Fi which DOES offer this, including the ability to take/initiate phone calls from any device signed in to your Google account with the Hangouts dialer on it.

I'm not an expert in this area but isn't the purpose of Samsung Flow to connect your phone to your Windows computer including SMS messages. Modern equipment is required. As I say I'm not an expert and haven't set up Flow yet with my S8 and Windows Galaxy Book.
