How to stop browser redirects

[AC Question]

Lately on my Galaxy J7 I keep getting redirected to pages saying I won a gift card or some such BS, along with the phone vibrating like crazy. One screen it goes to most often says "YOU ARE THE CHOSEN" with a spin wheel. I can't find any help online..the phone always behaves on Facebook, but on other sites it'll do it (no questionable porn sites or anything). I deleted the couple of recent apps...scanned for viruses, malware, adware..nothing. I tried clearing Chrome's cache. I don't want to have to do a damn factory reset. Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! What sites are you visiting? They don't have to be porn sites. This kind of redirect can happen with other kinds of sites, like gambling, gaming, funny news, etc.

Try also clearing Chrome's app data, in addition to the cache. Also, go into the Chrome settings and clear all browsing data "From the Beginning of Time."
