Not sure if its rooted or not

[AC Question]

So this is my problem. I was using my s7 edge and everything was perfect until when I went to internet browser. I tried to open secret mode but it says "Root detected" and couldn't open it. I downloaded Root Checker and it said "root access is not properly installed". So my q is, is my device rooted ? If yes, how can I unroot it ? Btw it's an used phn but I have paid lots of money so Im worried. Its currenly running on 6.0.1 marshmallow. Should I continue using it or need to do anything? I really want to wash up all these rooting and start fresh.

Go into download mode if knox has been tripped then your out of luck my friend because even if you unroot it or factory reset it the problem will not be fixed
