how to hide sensitive contents on my notifications bar (not on the lockscreen)??

hi.. im using a samsung j2.. im wondering how to hide sensitive contents on my notifications bar (the one you swipe down from the top)?? im having issues with the hangouts app actually.. the app is on "no preview" already but it still shows my messages on the notification bar at the top.. i have no problems with the lockscreen though.. just the notification's bar.. :/

Hiding the sensitive info from a notification on the lock screen is simple and done from the phone's security settings.

From the unlocked phone, the contents of the notification tends to be controlled by the app. Some apps let you control what is shown, some do not. Take a look at the notification settings in the individual apps.
