ZTE Backup and Restore app won't recognize SD, can't restore my backed up app and data.

I had a Cricket Grand X Max ZTE phone. It started acting weird so I backed up all the apps and data to the SD card using the native ZTE Backup and Restore app. Sure enough the phone died.

I now have a Samsung-SM-J320AZ phone to which I'm attempting to restore the apps and data.

The Samsung recognizes the SD card as I can see all the files, including the ZTE Backup and Restore app and its related backed up apps and data files.

I actually installed the ZTE Backup and Restore app from these files located on the SD card.

I can now open the ZTE Backup and Restore app, however when I click "restore apps" or "restore data" I get a message from the app saying "Insert SD card".

The SD card is seen by the phone but not by the Backup and Restore app. All my apps, and more importantly my data, is all there on the SD card but I can't restore the information.

Help.

I would remove the B&R app you had on the SD card and install it from the Play store.

I would love to try that but apparently this is a ZTE app that comes with the ZTE phones only. I couldn't find it on the Play store.
