i have heard that you need to call verizon and have them download something for the u 11 to work on their network or an old sim card from there network. wondering if a new verizon sim card will work fully on it without doing anything extra.

Welcome to the forums. I think Verizon would be the logical choice to answer those questions. Is there a reason you haven't contacted their tech support?
