A Factory Reset will only affect the data partition on your S2's internal storage media. It does not do anything to any of the operating system partitions, nor does it do anything to your microSD card. Whatever you have saved on your card will be left as is but be sure any files and things you have saved on your phone's storage is safely backed up -- photos, videos, music, text messages -- basically anything you don't have automatically backed up elsewhere (emails, calendar, contacts are hopefully all synced with your online email service). It's a good practice to have everything backed up anyway, never rely on your phone or any microSD card as a permanent storage solution.

Thanks, I will make sure it is call backed up. Hopefully it will sort my internal memory discrepancy. Appreciate the advice.
