Why is my ZTE droid screen blank, it stays blank even when I get a text or

My screen stays blank, or off idk really just I can get calls n text I just don't know y the screen just went out, and what exactly can I do to fix it. I havent dropped it in any liquids or anything like that, it just went blank.. why?

Welcome to Android Central! Which ZTE phone? Does the screen ever show anything, like if you power the phone off completely, then boot it up again?
