I deleted all my pics and videos from my ZTE Grand X 4. I looked on my Google photos and thought my pics and videos for the day were already uploaded and I deleted them like a dummy. I'm trying my best to retrieve them with no luck. I've tried rooting the device with no luck. Please help. It was a very special occasion and I feel so bad. Thanks.

If the files were stored to the internal storage of the phone, they are pretty much gone. Sorry.

You could install an app like DiskDigger undelete (root). Three problems:

    1. To "undelete" videos, you need the paid version. (It's only $3.)

    2. By rooting, you may have overwritten a few deleted pics or videos.

    3. By installing Disk Digger, you may overwrite more pics or videos.

(And anything that stored or saved anything to the phone since you deleted them could have overwritten one or more of them.)

Someone invented the concept of backups for a reason.
