Long story short, my S3 is no longer recognized as a USB device, although it still charges through the USB port. (I'm pretty sure that's due to damage to the port.) Running Android 4.4.2 from AT&T.
I've seen a number of articles that hint or state outright that Kies can do its backup via WiFi or Bluetooth, but the required menu items haven't been present on this phone (Thanks, AT&T). I really need to back this phone up, so I can go to the next model.
Is there a way to force this phone to get backed up without rooting it?
