Last week I accidentally dropped my phone, I might add that it wasn't the first time I had dropped my Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016).
Unfortunately, this time it has been acting up. First, my battery life would drain so fast and now the phone won't even open......It would just show the a glimpse of my home screen and shut down ....Then it just flickers as if it's about to open so I force stop it by pressing the shut down button and low volume key from each side.
I noticed that the battery has created a bulge making the back cover to open up. Can anyone please help me figure if the battery needs replacement or not? And if it is safe for me and for the reliability of the phone to last if I can just fix the problem without the aid of a professional. Tnx

It needs replacement. A bulging battery is a time bomb.
