Why wont my HTC Desire 626 come on?

[AC Question]

I spilt about a dab of face wash on the speaker and it was working fine until the next day. I put my phone in rice for going on 3 days, hold down the power keys, doing everything everybody is doing and still no luck? Any suggestions..I cant go get it fixed or else i would do that..

Welcome to Android Central! Was the face wash a very thin liquid, or was it more of a gel? If it was a thin liquid, then it may have more easily gotten into the internals of the phone and caused damage. Once the damage has been done, desiccants like rice can't reverse it.
