    Welcome to Android Central! Is the music only stored locally on the old device? If so, then connect the old device to your computer via USB and use Windows Explorer to copy the music files to the computer hard drive. Then connect the new phone via USB and copy the files to the new phone's Music directory.

    It looks like Google Play Music is the default music player -- you can use it to play your locally stored music as well as any music uploaded to your Google Play Music library in the cloud. If you only want to see locally saved music, swipe in from the left and turn on the Downloaded Only switch.

    If you don't like the Play Music app, then try any of the numerous 3rd party music player apps in the Play Store. Two good ones that I know of are PowerAmp and MortPlayer Music.

    I would also suggest uploading your entire music library to your Google Play Music cloud library. This way, you can access your entire music collection from any device that's logged into your Google account. There are two ways to do it:
