samsung galaxy grand prime will not accept verification codes sent to text

Hi. My Galaxy Grand Prime will not accept incoming verification codes, is there a way to turn this "on". For example my prescription at Walgreen's is ready, they sent a notification to my phone, it will not come thru. Or I log on to Bank of America from a friends computer and it wants to send a verification code to enter to verify it's me, that will not come thru.

We enter my husbands phone number and it goes thru to his.

Any thoughts??

Welcome to the forums. Can you send and receive other text messages? It's possible that the Premium SMS permission is disabled and you need to enable it in your settings. I'm not sure about the right steps to do this in your model, but you could search for this option using the search feature in your settings.
