How to i make weblonks in text messages open in my browser as they should.

I am on a galaxy s6. Ive never noticed this before and not sure why its happening now. I got a text with a link in it. It was to an online account. I followed the link but found that i could not autofill my login credentials. Then i realised i was in firefox. I dont know why they made it this way as it is monumentally stupid. Can you help me to fix it?
Im just on a standard device. Fully updated. Version 7. Samsung flavour.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to the App Manager, select Firefox, and Clear Defaults. Now try opening one of those weblinks again -- does it ask you which browser you want to open it in?
