I've had my c5 pro for the past three weeks. I've wondered why I often lose 9-15% on idle between 7-9 hours overnight. Last night I turned off Always On Display and woke up this morning with 4% usage on 7 and a half hours of idle.

From my understanding of how amoled works, I did not expect it to affect battery life quite as much. I read a thread about the higher end models not losing as much.

I'm wondering what your observations are regarding the AOD with other samsung models.

Also, does 60% battery usage over 10 hours of use seem about right for a 2600mah battery? I game for less than 90 mins, wifi about 60% of the time and bluetooth for less than an hour. I keep location services off.

AOD has more features like watching for notifications. It's basically shortening the dozr durations.

Anyway for my S7E, AOD on uses up 3% per hour over night, and AOD off uses up 0.7%. Ratings are calculated by GSAM Battery Monitor.
