Hey All, my htc desire 510 is stuck on a bootloop. I can access recovery mode options like factory reset etc... But when i click on factory reset it doesn't fix the bootloop. Is there a way to fix the bootloop for free? It'd cost £25 to fix it and i.'d prefer to fix it for free if possible. I can access fastboot as well. It gets to the 2nd loading screen and glitches out then goes back to a black screen. My pc detects the phone but not sure on how to fix it as ive looked everywhere. It shows the phone charges and everything but it doesnt boot up properly and im hoping its mot broken internally like the circuit board, Its OS is 1.51.161.14. Any help is much appreciated and Thankyou.

Welcome to the forums. Do you have any options to do a cache clear?

Hey. What do you mean? Like when I click recovery mode on the hardboot menu? And sorry about the late reply.

In recovery, you should have cache clear options.

When I click on Recovery it just comes up with a triangle with an exclamation mark. How do I get the cache settings? It's on Vodaphone UK.

You said you can click on Factory Reset. In that same menu, you should have 'cache clear' or 'clear cache'.

No I mean like when I hardboot it has the os version and some other stuff at the top then it has like recovery, factory rest check sdcard, barcode and I think 2 other options. When I click factory reset the phone reboots but it doesn't fix the bootloop and when I click recovery it reboots and shows a black screen with a grey triangle with and a red exclamation mark.

Ok. You are probably going to have to reflash the stock ROM. What carrier is the phone for? Do you have a Windows machine?

Yes. I have a computer with Windows 10. And I'm on Vodaphone UK. Do I need a SD Card to re flash the rom?

No, just a PC. you'll need HTC's flashing utility (sorry, I don't have a link to it), and a ROM image (to which I don't have a link either). Maybe someone else here can give you links. If not, probably someone on XDA Forums, in the HTC 510, forum can.
