I have a ZTE Blade A512. Yesterday night I tried to use its rear camera but it doesn't work. The screen is all black, and sometimes a thin line with different colours appears. I also tried to use the camera on whatsapp, instagram and other apps and still doesn't work. Does anyone know what it could be?

It sounds to me like a bad rear camera module. But it could also be a bad part on the motherboard. If it doesn't work in Safe Mode, it has to go in for repair. (But the repair might cost as much as the phone - it's not an expensive phone.)

Then it's headed for the repair shop. And if it's a bad motherboard, look around for a replacement phone and compare buying and repairing prices. (And see if the repair shop will give you anything for the old phone - labor doesn't cost them much, and a camera module is cheap. (Even a motherboard isn't too expensive with some phones, but for a US$100 phone, it might not pay for them to repair it either.)

That's definitely an important piece of information. It reinforces the need for a repair shop.
