Wifi repeatedly turning off and on

[AC Question]

Just last night my Wi-Fi starting repeatedly turning itself off and on. I'm only having this issue on my galaxy s7 edge. No other devices are affected. I have restarted the phone and tried other suggestions from another post, but none are working.

Welcome to the forums. In wifi settings, do you have an option to avoid weak signals enabled?

I don't have a setting like the one you described. I have a smart network switch disabled. This setting goes between wifi and network during unstable signal

Huh.... forgetting all my saved wifi connections seems to have worked for now. I did this originally with my home network and that didn't work, but deleting all the others did. Would you happen to have any insight as to why? So in the future i can better troubleshoot? Thank you both for the help

I found that when I turned off McAfee web security my wifi worked just fine again.

Strange that it's connected to that app. Unless McAfee has a heavy hand in controlling things.
