I used Android File Transfer to transfer from my Android 6.0.1 phone via USB cable to my MacBook Pro running Sierra 10.12.5 .

At first I thought the transfer went well, so I deleted the images on my phone by selecting them as a group in their folder in the Android File Transfer window and hitting <Command> Delete. This seemed to do the trick.

Later I realized that many of the images had NOT transferred. In a panic I checked my phone: they were still there, although they seem to have been deleted from the folder in Android File Transfer. I've restarted both the phone and Android File Transfer. I'm happy to see that my pictures still exist in some form, but I can't find where they're stored and don't know how to transfer them. I've done a test by sending one directly from my phone via email but it's been 20 minutes and hasn't arrived (strangely). Now what?
