You need a file manager (either the built-in app or a third-party one).
    1. Open the file manager app, go to internal/phone memory,
    2. Find the folder "DCIM". Your camera photos, screenshots and some other images are in the DCIM folder.
    3. Long press on the folder or subfolder you want to transfer, then choose Copy (Don't choose Cut).
    4. Now you should be shown with internal(phone) memory and SD card memory, and you should choose SD card, then paste the copied folder to any directory.

You can also connect your phone to PC and do it via Windows Explorer.

Important: Don't use Cut + Paste as long as you have enough memory.

The important part of this process is to COPY the files, not MOVE them.
After you verify that the COPY was successful, then you can later go back and delete the files from your internal storage.
