Why is my android tablet not compatible with the latest whatsapp update?

I tried nearly everything:
-third party app stores.
-downloading it from the website(which leads back to my play store app)

Whatsapp notifies me to update it in 5 days, but play store can't install the update.

Sm-T231, yes it was working well before, i have installed it from the play store.

You might want to email WhatsApp's support team to see if that device is too old now for the latest update.

Is that the Galaxy Tab 4 7 inch? I googled the model number and just want verification.

Do you know what version of Android your tablet is currently running?

i've seen whatsapp act wonky with tabs. what tab is it? do you have enough memory? have you tried manual apk installation?

Oh man!
I thought i'm the only one who faces this error. I'm using 7" samsung galaxy tab3 (sm-T211)[4.4.2 kitkat]. It was fine with the last update of whatsapp, but unfortunately the latest update isn't compatable with this. Don't know why. Sadly my friend also faces the same problem with her galaxy s duos( running on ice cream sandwich).
Maybe they are shutdown the support for the older devices by this update... Farewell
