Does your phone shut down below 90% battery capacity and refuse to turn on till it's plugged?
Before buying a new battery try the steps below.
1) Remove the battery.
2) Drain the battery.
3) Place battery back in phone and charge to at least 99%.
4) Turn phone on and verify all is ok.
5) If the steps above worked for you - remember to unplug phone when fully charged and let drain to around 15% before recharging.
How to drain battery:
Connect a load to the + and - of the battery. The load I used was a 5v DC cooling fan - took over 12 hours till it stopped spinning. Other load options are flashlight bulbs. If using LED bulbs do ensure correct polarity for the LED to light up.
