AC Question

Hi there,

This week I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy J3.

I don't have home wifi, so rely on hotspotting with my unlimited data plan to get me connected. Every device I have (ps3, tablet, laptop, etc) works fine using my hotspot, so I know it can't be an issue with that.

When I tried to set up my new phone and went to connect to WiFi, I inputted the details perfectly and was told the J3 was fully connected to my hotspot. Not 'connected, no internet' like a lot of people have had trouble with - completely connected with a strong signal. Only problem is, literally nothing loads - I can't connect to the play store, Chrome won't work, nor will any other browser.

I've scoured the internet trying to find a solution, and have come up empty. Factory resetting did nothing. Safe mode had it working perfectly - however the internet stopped working the moment I disabled safe mode. I know a lot of people suggest that an app is to blame if that's the case, but there's nothing on the phone that wasn't there at the point of factory reset as it's completely new.

Please help!!!!

Safe mode starts the phone without loading any apps you've installed, so it must be one of those apps that's causing the problem.

Start in safe mode, run one installed app after the other, watching for loss of wifi. The last app you ran is the one causing the problem.
