    Hello
Just got a new phone but when downloading app, it's super slow. downloading whatsapp takes 3 minutes. Called the network provider and was told it could be because the new phone has a smaller ram (1 GB). My previous phone (2GB) was faster with downloads. Is it really because of the smaller ram? I thought it has to do with the internet speed.

It's internet speed. RAM has nothing to do with download speed. It's usually internet speed, but we also have to consider the 4G band your phone is connecting to. It would vary from phone to phone because this is hardware related, but as I see your phone downgraded in RAM, I would assume your new phone also downgraded in terms of other hardware components as well. Could be that the phone is using an inferior antenna to the old one.
