Can I fix photos that show as corrupted on the SD card?

My internal memory was full (Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge) and the rest of the photos i took were saved on the SD card. At first, I could see the thumbnails in the gallery, but the next day, i could only see a bunch of gray squares where the thumbnails used to be. Even then, I could still see the pictures if i went to my File Manager. Now I can't see them there either. I bought a new SD card that is designated for photos, and copied the files there, still no luck. any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central.

Unless you have a backup of the images you won't be able to do anything. You won't be able to fix a corrupt file. Sorry.
