I was wondering if there is a way to make the phone think the SD card is part of its internal memory? I have Samsung G5 with 16GB. With all the Apps I use that fills up quickly.

Some phones support "adoptable storage", some don't.

I recommend staying with the SD card formatted as external storage.
Move your media files to the card, leave your apps on the internal storage.

For the apps that use lots of storage space for their data (camera, maps, GPS, some games), check the settings of the individual apps. Some will let you pick the SD card as the data location while the app stays on the internal storage.
