Why ads keeps popping up on the screen of my android tablet?

I have been experiencing ads popup on my tablet phone recently, it normally takes the whole screen and there is nothing that I can do to close it unless I restart the phone before it can disappear..it normally appears if I put on my data and goes to Facebook then is will come on the screen

Could be malware. Could be certain sites. Could be a lot of different issues. Safe and simplest bet would probably be to factory reset.

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think you need to do a factory reset, at least not yet You most likely downloaded an adware app, maybe along with something like a file manager or battery monitor app as they're known problems. To tell definitely reboot your tab in safe mode, that disables all installed apps. If you no longer see the ads, then reboot into normal mode and, when you see an ad, try long pressing on it. You may see the app generating the ad. You can also start going through all your installed apps. look for something unfamiliar for what you downloaded.
