I have a Droid Maxx 2 running Android version 6.0.1. According to Settings > Device > Storage, I've used 15.37 GB of my device's storage space (16.00 GB). 5.11 GB is used by the system, and 10.26 GB is under "Internal Storage". Going deeper into Internal Storage, 9.11 GB of that 10.26 GB is used by "Apps". And yet, when I go deeper and try to see which Apps are using up space, the largest app, Google Chrome, only uses 429 Mb, and adding all the apps' memory together yields barely over a GB of space. Where is the rest of that 9.11 GB, and how do I get rid of it? I even tried using Solid Explorer to find the culprit files, yet I get essentially the same result! When going to my internal drive's outermost folder, "My Files", and checking this folder's properties, it says that only 3% (341.87 MB) of memory is being used here, with 91% (9.98 GB) of memory is being used by "Other" folders. How do I access this other memory that is taking up so much space on my internal storage?

I tried clearing the cache. Internal storage went from 94% full to 93% full. Additionally, I could access my cache, my phone told me how much was in my cache. What I'm trying to figure out is where the other 9 GB is being stored on my phone that isn't appearing in my files.

Did you clear the cache of every app? You could download an app that will do that for you. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...iform.ccleaner

You can see that cache I think it was 629 megabytes while the total app is only 205 megabytes so what does your cache say for Chrome?
