Been a month now that im using my new lg q6 phone and downloaded music on it and been listening to ot since, today i switch my phone on and the default music app and google play does not show the musoc i downloaded, i checked the download folder and the music is still there and i can still play it, though when i open the file manager theres nothing on it.

Welcome to Android Central! Where did you download the music from -- Google Play Music, or somewhere else? Since the music files are in the Download folder, I assume that's Internal Storage (unless the phone allows you to download things to the SD by defaut).

Also, make sure there isn't a file called ".nomedia" in the Download folder.

And when you download music either restart the phone or run media.Re.Scan. Downloading doesn't trigger the phone to change its media database, which is where apps like a music player look for the files that can run.
