My dragon touch y88 was dropped and it lost sound. I threw it in its case deep under piles of clothes where no man or creature could live. I found it a year later, still looking in perfect condition. I tried to turn it on. Nothing. Charged it. Nothing. Is it too dead of battery to charge????

Is there a way to get it back running so it can charge?

Plug it in and leave it for half an hour. If it's not charging, battery is probably dead.

Replace the battery. If it won't charge battery is dead. You can't resurrect the dead.

Leave the battery charging overnight. If it's totally discharged, the first half hour or so is just a pre-charge. Letting it charge for 8 hours might charge it. Then recondition it. Let it run until it turns off. (You can turn it off, just don't recharge it until it turns off. Fully charge it again. Three charges and three full discharges. Then it should be okay.

If an 8 hour charge doesn't charge it, there could be something wrong with the charger or the cord - try them to charge something else. If it really is the battery then, as you say, the repair cost would probably equal the replace cost.
