I want to be able to use an Android phone to control an Android tablet (without reliance on wifi/data so I'm guessing over bluetooth)

We want to have a tablet mounted on the passenger headrest in the car for long trips so it is out of reach of our child.

We are looking for a way to control the tablet from the front of the car so we can play new movies/shows. We currently have to pull over, get out and jump in the back seat in order to select a new movie/show.

Is this possible?

I realise there are controllers from brands like Satechi (in effect BT keyboards) but we will want it to work with Android apps which I don't think these do.

Thanks, but that App uses Wifi so isn't suitable to my situation...
Or get a portable wifi device that doesn't cost much. It doesn't need an internet connection.

Will the videos be streaming from somewhere or loaded on the phone?

Tablet Remote works over Bluetooth but you need to see the tablet screen. Remodroid streams the controller phone to the other device, so whatever you do on the controller, you see on the other end.
