If I turn on wifi and data at the same time, will my J7 Pro use more battery?

When both are turned on, will it switch from data to WiFi when public WiFi is available?

The phone will probably use more power while searching for a wifi system to connect to, but you may or may not notice the difference.

If a wifi system is available, the phone will prompt you to connect to it. The first time you connect to a given wifi network, you will need to enter a password for the wifi network. Your phone will remember that password the next time you try to connect to that network.

The dev options are more about the switch from wifi to data and the speed of that switch.

    Keep data Mobile turn on?

That is the option. It is all about the phone swapping from wifi to mobile data and the speed of that happening.

In theory, keeping it turned on will use more power. How much more is open for debate.

If you go with the default of letting the mobile data system by turned off when not used, any app that wants to use it instead of the wifi network will need to wait for the mobile data system to be turned back on by the OS, which should be a very small amount of time by human standards.
