Will I lose my all data If I encrypt my android phone?

Hi. I need to protect my android phone but I never encrypted my handset ever before. So my question is, will it affect or will I lose all my data in my internal storage or memory card? I know nothing about encryption. Will you please help me?

The quick answer is that...No...as long as you do it correctly through the Android phone OS, you won't lose your data.

The option for Encryption should be in the Security settings on your phone.
